A blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 15% Grenache and 10% Cinsault, this one’s Gayda doing their best impression of Provence — and doing it very well indeed. Light pink in the glass, with delicate raspberry, grapefruit, redcurrant and cherry blossom on the nose that all adds up to a proper sense of freshness. On the palate it opens out with clementine, a touch of orange zest and wild strawberries, held together by that salivating acidity we bang on about so much. Elegant, subtle, and a genuine step up.
