Tenute Sella has been making wine in the Coste della Sesia for over 50 years, and the Orbello — named after the small village closest to the vineyard — is their flagship blend: Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, all hand-harvested and crafted with the kind of meticulous care that only comes from half a century of experience. Cold maceration preserves the freshness and aromatic precision of the fruit; fermentation in stainless steel keeps everything clean and vibrant; and a year in used barriques followed by six months of bottle refinement adds a subtle complexity without masking the grape’s natural character. The result is a wine of great finesse — a bright, attractive nose of mixed red fruits with a lovely mineral lift, and a palate that is soft, mouth-filling, and seamlessly elegant, with red fruit following through to a long, refined finish.
