Felton Road needs little introduction. For over two decades, this biodynamically farmed estate in Bannockburn has been producing some of the most compelling Pinot Noir in the world — and the Bannockburn is where it all begins. The estate blend, drawn from all four of Felton Road’s iconic vineyards, it is, as we’ve said before, entirely the wrong wine to call an ‘entry point’ — not when it regularly scores 95–96 points and outperforms Burgundy at twice the price. The 2024 is a beautiful expression: dark cherry, wild strawberry, and a beguiling streak of earth and spice on the nose, with that signature Central Otago freshness and precision running through every sip. On the palate it’s beautifully balanced, silky, and long — a wine of effortless elegance that rewards both the impatient and the patient in equal measure.
