Owned and run by Serge Couderc and his son Julien, the estate is farmed according to lutte raisonnée principles — a thoughtful, sustainable approach to viticulture that minimises intervention in the vineyard and lets the terroir speak for itself. Yields are kept deliberately low, concentrating the flavours and giving the wine an intensity and depth that goes far beyond what the price might suggest. The 2022 is a beautifully expressive Bordeaux: ripe black fruit aromas on the nose that are generous and inviting, with a palate brimming with succulent mulberry and plum, supported by a soft, well-structured tannin framework that gives the wine real presence and length.
