2021 Andrian Andrius Sauvignon Blanc
£39.99

Cantina Andriano was founded in 1893, which makes it one of the oldest cooperatives in Alto Adige but many experts claim it is the oldest. The village of Andrian is one of the three that can call their wines Terlaner Classico (the other two villages are Nalles and Terlano), a very famous wine in this part of the country coming from the historic growing area.

In 2008, Andriano merged with Cantina Terlano; therefore, all the fruit from Adriano’s approximately 50 hectares is vinified at the Terlano winery under the highly respected winemaking team lead by Rudy Kofler.

The wines from Cantina Andriano have evolved since establishment. In the words of the estate, the wines ‘reflect our constant quest for new ways to convey time-honored traditions into the present and to preserve them for the future’.

The wine has an intense and brilliant straw yellow color. The nose expresses beautiful and pleasant notes of sage and elder, peach and apricot. The taste on the palate is structured and harmonious, fresh, with balanced acidity and excellent persistence.
