The Felino Chardonnay is sourced from high-altitude vineyards in the Valle de Uco — planted at around 1,000 metres in the sub-regions of Gualtallary, Los Chacayes, and Villa Bastías, where the semi-desert climate, the intense Andean sunshine, and the cool nights of altitude combine to produce fruit of extraordinary freshness, precision, and aromatic complexity. The winemaking is equally considered: whole cluster pressed and fermented using natural yeasts, with malolactic fermentation in barrel using native yeasts, and only a portion of the wine aged in oak — the remainder in stainless steel — to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit while adding a subtle texture and complexity. The result is a Chardonnay of real elegance and character: pale straw yellow with green tones in the glass; pear, green apple, and citrus on the nose, clean and precise and completely appealing. On the palate it is crisp and structured, with a good mid-palate weight, lively acidity, and a long, fresh finish that speaks of the altitude, the terroir, and the skill of the winemaking.
