Bertrand tends to use more oak than most other producers, with this it's something like 60% new 40% old oak, this has always meant his wines have been built to last and this is no exception. While it is a 2021 it will happily go another 10 - 15 years while just getting bigger and richer. At the moment your getting wonderful baked?stewed apples with a rich buttery texture with hints of Vanilla, these all come through of the palate with other hints of honey suckle and tropical fruit, that all balanced out with this lovely soft and creamy acidity and texture to the wine.
