2020 Travaglini Gattinara Selezione

Piedmonte produces some of Italy's most famous wines. On the reds, you get the likes of Barolo and Barbaresco; when you go further north to foothills of the Alps, you find the wines of Gattinara. Produced from the same grape, Nebbiolo, you get this deep ruby wine with aromas of red fruit, blackberries, plums, the spices of liquorice and vanilla and some hints of leather. These all come through on the palate with a slight creamy texture and lovely tannins. This is an amazing wine in a fantastically shaped bottle.
