2018 Pirinoa Road Hawkes Bay Chardonnay

Straw-yellow colour with light golden hues. This has a full and dense bouquet, somewhat restrained, showing aromas of ripe citrus fruits, clean steely, mineral notes, nutty oak and some savoury, secondary, buttery hints. Full-bodied, this has a soft, rich, broad and open palate packed with flavours of ripe citrus fruits, mealy notes, nutty, and toasty oak. The breadth of the wine enhanced by soft acidity. The palate is weighty and smooth in mouthfeel, quite integrated and harmonious, and the wine finishes with sustained nutty, toasty flavours.
